I have been practicing yoga for over 18 years and have been teaching since 2016, after completing the 200hr Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Programme with FRYOG (Friends of Yoga International).
My continual personal development is an ongoing, incredible journey of discovery, exploring the amazing benefits that the practice has to offer, both personally and as a teacher. Additionally, I have completed a 50hr immersion in Teaching Yin Yoga and a 50hr immersion in Teaching Yoga Nidra. Both are such powerful practices in themselves and I definitely recommend adding them to your life for some exploration of the body and mind alike.
My regular yoga classes are predominately hatha based flow style with a restful savasana at the end. I always engage and encourage each individual to follow their own yoga journey and embrace their own uniqueness, both on and off the mat.
PurpleZen Yoga is always keen on welcoming beginners who wish to experience the benefits that yoga has to offer for the mind, body and soul. My classes are small and friendly and I often have themed sessions, encouraging a great community spirit for all attendees.
In 2017 I introduced a ‘men only’ class where 90% of the men had never stepped on a yoga mat before - this class is now one of the most attended each week. As well as my weekly schedule, I also offer 1:1 classes and small group private classes plus workshops for deeper exploration of the asanas (postures) and pranayama (breath). .
